2019 In Review

Yes, it is time for the obligatory 'Year In Review' article for 2019.  Obviously, the big winners for 2019 are the American people, thanks to the economic boom.  President Donald Trump has been overseeing this boom, helping it along with tax cuts, deregulation and shaming the Federal Reserve Bank.  Why not?  The Fed did give Obama 8 years of free, or at least, ultra cheap money.  Obama squandered the golden apple given to him.  Trump knows exactly where to stick it, squarely in the roasted pig's mouth!  Because of this, the average American household has much more spending money.  Good times for all!  The biggest losers of 2019 are the tag team of Joe and Hunter Biden.  Joe has already lost his third attempt to become president well before a single actual vote is cast.  His son, Hunter, is about to spiral down the Pit of Immortal Scandal.

Trump NASDAQ Breaks 9,000

The American economy, and workers, keep on winning thanks to President Donald J. Trump. This was yet another week of record highs for the major stock indexes.  The NASDAQ broke the 9,000 mark for the first time in history!  Under Trump, the S&P 500 has increased 50%, whereas other presidents have never done better than 23%.  The unemployment rates are the lowest in 50 to 60 years for nearly every single demographic category.  The handful not doing that well are still better than the past 20 years or more.  According to the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank, wage growth for the bottom 25% of income earners increased 4.5%, and among the bottom 10% wages are up over 7%.  Thus destroying the Democrat talking point that the Trump economic boom has only benefitted the ultra rich.  No, the Trump economic boom is helping every American.

California Homeless Crisis

President Donald Trump did not rest much on Christmas. By evening, he launched tweets on Twitter criticizing California Governor Gavin Newsom for the state's homeless crisis.  Trump warned Newsom that if he does not get a grip on the problem, Trump will take action.  Half of all homeless people in America are in California.  Over 22,000 people ate living in streets.  The homeless problem is causing a health crisis, too!  Garbage and human waste are piling up in California'smajor citieslike Los Angeles and San Francisco.  The rat population is rising fast while the human population growth is now at the lowest level since 1900.  Diseases like cholera and even 'The Plague' are on the rise.  Even some liberal newspapers in California are now siding with Trump against the incompetent Newsom.

The Great Wine Cave Debate

The Democrat Presidential debate on PBS last night boiled down to a debate about wine caves.  Elizabeth Warren tried to tag Pete Buttigieg as a sell-out for hosting a fund raiser for billionaires at a wine cave.  Hashtags like #peteswinecave or #winecavepete trended on social media.  Wine Cave Pete tried to bumble his way out  by accusing the rest of the candidate field as a bunch of millionaires.  As usual amongst Left-Wing Democrats, it came down to an argument over the evils of success.  Of course, when it comes to millionaire politicians, it is usually a question of graft and corruption. Buttigieg may not be as rich as Liz Warren simply because he has not been in politics for as long as Warren.  His snout has not had as much time in the public trough.

House Dems Impeach Trump

As expected, House Democrats voted to impeach President Donald J. Trump.  Both articles, on abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, passed easily.  All Republicans voted no, along with 2 Democrats on the abuse of power article, and 3 for the other.  Presidential candidate, Tulsi Gabbard, voted present on both measures.  She posted a video statement denouncing the partisan vote.  I couldn't watch the debate.  At least the Democrat side of it.  They continued their drumbeat of lies.  House Democrats continued telling lies after the votes, too.  Now there is talk of holding back sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate.  The Democrats know that the Senate will acquit President Trump.  So, in their twisted logic, Democrats think that by not sending the impeachment to the Senate, they can harm Trump's chances in 2020.

House Impeachment Vote Today

At 9am Eastern, the U.S. House of Representatives will begin the process for a full House vote on impeachment.  After an hour of procedures, debate will begin and last 6 hours with the time split evenly between both major political parties.  After this, both impeachment charges will be voted on.  By 7:30pm or so, it seems that President Donald John Trump, the 45th President of the United States of America, will become the 3rd president impeached in U.S. history.  Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to have plenty of votes to pass both measures, abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.  Only maybe 3 Democrats will vote 'No' along with the entire GOP caucus.  One of them is considering switching parties soon.  The impeachment then goes to the Senate, where Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is leaning towards a short trial with no additional witnesses.

FISA Court Rebukes FBI

Today, Rosemary Collyer, the Presiding Judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, FISC, issued a public rebuke to the FBI.  This comes a week after the release of the DOJ Inspector General report of FISA warrant abuse in 2016.  That report by IG Michael Horowitz details hundreds of errors, omissions and outright lies which were part of the FISA warrant application to wiretap former Trump campaign volunteer, Carter Page.  Many of these errors were repeated in the four subsequent applications to renew the warrant, which only lasts 90 days.  According to the New Times article by Charlie Savage, Judge Collyer demanded that the Federal Bureau of Investigations provide her with a plan to prevent such from happening again by January 10.  The FISC also wants more documents and information about the FBI lawyers who acted to mislead the judges.

Dow Up 10K Under Trump

On Monday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, DJIA, topped 28,300 points.  An increase of 10,000 points since President Donald J. Trump won in 2016.  A remarkable feat in just 3 years.  Just this year, the Dow is up 25%, good news for all Americans with 401Ks.  All of the major stock indexes are at record high levels.  Unemployment is at a 50-year low.  For some demographic sectors, like Black and Hispanic workers, unemployment is at all-time lows.  The same is true for those Americans without a college degree.  Wages are up, too!  The poor and middle class have an income rate increase higher than that of the rich.  With the NAFTA replacement treaty now passed, the USMCA, along with new trade deals with Japan, South Korea and now the Phase 1 deal with China, the economic outlook for next year looks extremely bright.

If you are planning to attend the Turning Point USA Leadership Conference in West Palm Beach, Florida this coming Friday, BEWARE!  The Groypers may be invading!  The Groypers are the latest version of Alt Right.  Pepe the Frog has been replaced by Groyper the Frog.  The Groypers are gripers, with plenty of gripes against Conservative Inc.  You may have seen them in action if you've attended a speaking event featuring Charles Kirk or Ben Shapiro.  Groypers have been following them around, heckling them and others in Establishment circles.  The coming conference in West Palm Beach will feature Kirk, as well as Sean Hannity, Mark 'The Great One' Levin, Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle.  All of whom the Groypers have gripes about.

House Committee Votes For Impeachment

House Democrats have delayed the impeachment vote in the House Judiciary Committee until this morning at 10am Eastern.  The vote was supposed to be held yesterday around 5pm Eastern after concluding debate on the markup articles for impeachment.  However, the session went so bad yesterday that Chairman Jerrold Nadler allowed debate to continue until 11pm, and then announced that the vote would not happen till this morning.  This caused yet another uproar by Republican members of the committee.  Most of the day was just both sides repeating the same things they have been saying for days.  Nadler said that the delay was so members could pray and decide how to vote.  But the real reason was to get a larger TV audience.  When the vote finally came, it was down party lines with Democrats passing the impeachment articles with no Republican support, 23-17.  The action now moves to the House of Representatives, where a vote is expected next week.

Democrats Mark Up Articles Of Impeachment

House Democrats began to markup articles of impeachment last night.  The House Judiciary Committee will convene again this morning to complete their madness, which will finish next week with a vote on the House Floor.  As we all know, once the impeachment is handed off to the U.S. Senate, this idiocy will end.  There is no way that 67 senators will vote to impeach President Donald J. Trump.  Especially considering the flimsy charges House Democrats are alleging.  So what is the point of all of this?  Simple, to allow for TV ads next year by Democrats to say that Trump was impeached.  President Trump broke no federal laws, nor did he exceed his Constitutional powers.  In fact, he was in compliance with existing laws, requiring that foreign aid be withheld to countries that may be corrupt,  Some $400 million dollars in military aid were delayed until the Trump administration was satisfied that the new Ukraine president was getting rid of its bad apples.

Dan Spilo Removed From Survivor

Dan Spilo, a contestant on season 39 of CBS "Survivor:  Island of the Idols" was removed from the game.  Back on the November 13 double episode, Dan was accused by Kellee Kim and two other female contestants of sexual harassment.  Mainly of being a tad too touchy-feely, especially at night when players slept closely in their make shift shelter.  In other words, "inappropriate behavior".  After Kim complained to the show's producers, all contestants were warned about such behavior.  Producers then privately warned Dan, according to some reports, being told that he was, "on thin ice".  Kim attempted to orchestrate Dan being booted at the next tribal council.  But, the tribe spoke and blindsided Kim instead.  This caused quite the outcry on social media!

Horowitz Testifies On FISA Abuse

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee today.  On Monday, he released his report on how the FBI abused the FISA warrant process to spy on the 2016 Trump campaign.  There was much ado in The Media about his conclusion that there was no political bias in what became known as Operation Crossfire Hurricane.  But, despite the Fake News Media claims, and those made recently by former FBI Director James Comey that the Horowitz report vindicates and clears the FBI of bias, they missed a crucial point.  Horowitz only exonerated the initial beginning of Crossfire Hurricane of political bias.  Specifically the actions by then Assistant Director of Counter-Intelligence, E.W. 'Bill' Priestap.  During today's testimony, Horowitz did state that as the FBI operation moved forward, the bias issue becomes much "murkier", especially during the time of the application for a FISA warrant to surveil Trump campaign volunteer, Carter Page.  Horowitz also noted that while his review of documents, including text messages and emails of FBI agents, lawyers and officials, some employees did have a pro-Trump bias.  But, none of these pro-Trump employees were active members of the Crossfire Hurricane team.  Many of that team demonstrated a very definite pollical bias against then Candidate Donald J. Trump.

FISA Report vs Impeachment

The clock ran out for House Democrats Monday.  The FISA abuse report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz was made public. Early news stories attempted to downplay its significance.  While Horowitz does fall short of charging that political bias played a major role, a point which Attorney General William Barr and Federal Prosecutor John Durham disagree with, there is still plenty to raise eyebrows.  For example, Horowitz confirms that while the FBI did not plant their own agents as spies inside the Trump campaign, the FBI certainly did use informants to spy on Trump aides and the campaign.  As for the FISA warrant to spy on Carter Page, Horowitz lists 17 omissions and errors in the warrant request.  Horowitz also confirms that the primary basis for requesting the warrant was the 'dirty dossier' from Christopher Steele.  According to Horowitz, that document was completely discredited by January, 2017.  Yet, the FISA warrant continued to be renewed, as James Comey and others failed to inform the FISA court judges that the Steele document was inaccurate and funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign.

November Jobs Report 2019

The jobs report for November, 2019, came out yesterday, showing more growth for the Trump economy.  Some 266,000 new jobs were added last month, much higher than the expected 180,000.  The national unemployment average fell from 3.6% to 3.5%, the lowest numbers in 50 years.  The Bureau of Labor Statistics jobs report also showed that wages have increased about 3.1% in the past year, to an average hourly rate of $28.29 per hour.  The previous jobs reports from September and October were increased 40,000 jobs now that the GM strike is concluded.  Just about every sector of the economy is showing growth.  No wonder House Democrats are trying to impeach President Donald J. Trump, since his strong economic policies are making America great again!

Joe Biden Angry In Iowa

Joe Biden lost his cool in Iowa.  During a town hall event, Biden got angry at an Iowa voter, calling him a, "damn liar".  The man in question had asked Joe about his son Hunter Biden getting a cushy job in Ukraine.  Joe not only verbally attacked the man for repeating this truth, but even called the voter fat!  He then challenged the voter to a push-up contest.  Biden has been getting weird now that he is back in the public light.  Joe lost his cool recently when a reporter asked the Democrat presidential candidate about Hunter's paternity lawsuit in Arkansas.  Some old video has popped up where Joe Biden talks lovingly about how the hairs on his legs turn blonde thanks to the Sun.  He went on to say how wonderful it was when young children would stroke his Sun-bleached leg hair and how much he likes young children jumping on his lap.  EWWW!

Congressional Abuse Of Power

Nancy Pelosi has declared that there will be an impeachment vote against President Donald Trump.  House Democrats seem to be focusing on abuse of power charges after yesterday's hearings in the House Judiciary Committee.  While all four legal experts were Democrats, three have a history of wanting Trump impeached long before any phone calls to Ukraine.  The fourth expert, Jonathan Turley, was the only witness who displayed any rational thinking.  He warned that what House Democrats are doing, proceeding with no fact-based witnesses or physical evidence at break-neck speed, Congress would be the ones abusing their power.  A big sign of this is Adam Schiff using his subpoena power to obtain the phone records of journalist John Soloman and Rep. Devin Nunes.  Something Senator Rand Paul intends to question Schiff about once the impeachment circus rolls inside the Senate.

Sham Impeachment Hearings, Round 2

Round 2 of the sham impeachment hearings begin today.  The scene shifts to the House Judiciary Committee under Rep. Jerry Nadler.  At 10am Eastern, the circus begins with testimony from 4 legal experts.  All 4 are Democrats.  Three of them have already publicly stated that they believe President Trump has committed impeachable offenses.  The only expert allowed to be selected by Republicands, Jonathan Turley, has stated otherwise.  Yesterday, the lying maniac, Adam Schiff, released his majority report from the hearings held by the so-called House Intelligence Committee.  Later, in a closed door session, they voted along party lines to forward the impeachment process to Nadler's hands.  Meanwhile, it is becoming clearer that plans to have a final House vote before the Christmas holiday break are fading fast.  This practically guarantees that the Senate will take up the matter just as the presidential primary season begins.  Half of the top 4 Democrats running are senators, putting Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren in a position where they may miss campaigning at a crucial phase.

Book Review, Mary Ball Washington By Craig Shirley

George Washington may be called a 'Founding Father' of the United States of America, but is his mother, Mary Ball Washington a 'Founding Mother'?  The answer is complex and fascinating when you read the new book by presidential historian, Craig Shirley.  Entitled "Mary Ball Washington, The Untold Story Of George Washington's Mother", published by Harper, an imprint of Harper Collins, goes on sale today.  If you are a history buff, as I am, this is a 'must-read' book!  Mary Ball was the second wife of George's father, Augustine Washington, and could be described as America's first 'Tiger' or 'Helicopter Mom'.  She was a forceful, domineering influence on young George.  Oddly enough, she was a staunch Loyalist to the British Royal family, as well as to the whole astristocratic system.  Even after her son defeated the British at Yorktown, she remained loyal to The Crown.  Poor George!
